What they do not do

They do not explain the world, give speeches, or sound like a film. They do not all hate the boss or all love them. They live in it: they are tired, funny, scared, greedy, kind to the wrong people, and busy.

A phone of five is five different people: different ages, backgrounds, voices, names and ways of keeping records. If one keeps a paper ledger, the next one keeps everything in their head. If one is formal, the next one is not.
